A quick guide
The answer is only useful when you know what it includes and what it leaves out.
Estimated entropy ≈ password length × log₂(character pool size)

Make it concrete
A 16-character password using lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols has a higher estimated search space than a short lowercase-only password.
