A quick guide

Use the number with context

The answer is only useful when you know what it includes and what it leaves out.

How to use it

  1. Enter annual quota, joining date and as-of date.
  2. Choose no proration, monthly proration or day-based proration.
  3. Enter used leave and review the declared balance.

Formula

Remaining leave = earned leave under selected proration − used leave

The result is a policy estimate and should be checked against the employer’s leave ledger.

Make it concrete

Worked example
